Bananas and
Cream Bread (bread machine)
1 1/2 pound loaf
1 1/2 teaspoons yeast -- fast rise
-or-
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
3 cups bread flour
3 tablespoons wheat germ
3 tablespoons powdered milk
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/2 tablespoons canola oil
1 cup mashed bananas
-plus-
2 tablespoons mashed bananas
3/4 cup fat free sour cream or fat-free yogurt
1/4 cup water -- warmed
-plus-
1 tablespoon water -- warmed
3/4 cup chopped nuts*
Add all ingredients except the raisins or nuts and bake on raisin bread (or
white) cycle. At the beeper add the raisins or nuts.
*Walnuts, pecans, almonds or raisins.

Banana-Chocolate Chip Bread

**1 POUND LOAF**
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup very ripe banana -- mashed
1 large egg
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups bread flour
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
1 1/2 teaspoons Fleischmann's Bread Machine Yeast
**1 1/2 POUND LOAF**
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup very ripe banana -- mashed
1 large egg
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
1/3 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
2 teaspoons Fleischmann's Bread Machine Yeast
Use the 1 pound recipe if your machine pan holds 10 cups or less of water.
Add ingredients to bread machine pan in the order suggested by manufacturer,
adding mashed banana with milk and semisweet chocolate pieces with flour.
Recommended cycle: Basic/white cycle; medium/normal or light crust color
setting. |
