Pumpkin Nut Bread
(bread machine)
3/4 cup canned pumpkin
1/3 cup milk
1 large egg
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
2 1/3 cup bread flour
2/3 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 teaspoons bread machine yeast
Place all ingredients in your machines fully assembled pan in the order
recommended by your machines manufacturer.
Place the pan in your machine. Select the Basic/White cycle and press start.
Pumpkin Nut Bread (bread machine)
Recipe book from the West Bend breadmaker. It's very good with a hearty soup
or stew.
1 lb. loaf
6 oz evaporated milk
1/3 cup canned pumpkin
2 cups bread flour
2-1/2 tbsp whole wheat flour
1/3 c ground (or coarsely chopped) nuts
1-1/2 tbsp brown sugar
1-2 tsp pumpkin pie spice (combination of cinnamon, nutmeg & cloves)
1 tsp salt
1-1/2 tbsp butter, cut into 4 pieces
1-1/2 tsp active dry yeast
OR
1 tsp 1-1/2 tsp fast rise yeast
1 1/2 lb. loaf
9 oz evaporated milk
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
3 cups bread flour
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup ground (or coarsely chopped) nuts
2 tbsp brown sugar
2-3 tsp pumpkin pie spice (combination of cinnamon, nutmeg & cloves)
1-1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter, cut into 4 pieces
2 tsp active dry yeast
OR
1-1/2 tsp fast rise yeast
Add to machine according to manufacturer's directions. Set on Basic setting
(I use the light crust setting, especially for the smaller loaf).
Pumpkin Seed Alfalfa Sprout Bread
Yield: 15 Servings
1 pk Yeast
2 1/2 c Better for Bread flour
1 c Wheat flour
2 tb Gluten
1 1/4 ts Salt
1/3 c Instant nonfat dry milk
1 c Alfalfa sprouts; 11 oz
1/2 c Pumpkin seeds; packaged/green -unsalted
2 tb Vegetable oil
1 tb Honey
1 1/2 c Very warm water
Add all the ingredients in the order listed, select white bread and push
"Start." A hearty wheat bread with extra fiber, nutrients, and an exciting
different flavor. Enjoy!
